China Gas Hongda Energy Trading Co., LTD. (China Gas) and Vitol have entered into an LNG long-term swap arrangement. 

TotalEnergies Marine Fuels and the Cruise Division of MSC Group announced that they have completed the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering operation at the Port of Marseille Fos, for MSC Cruises’ MSC World Europa.

ClassNK announced that it has evaluated the LNG dual-fueled chemical tanker, “FAIRCHEM PIONEER” jointly developed by Fukuoka Shipbuilding and Fairfield Japan (FJL). This is the first LNG dual-fueled chemical tanker in Japan, being currently under construction at Fukuoka Shipbuilding.

On  the 27th of February, Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK)'s Jasmin Leader, pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) vessel, was the first LNG-powered PCTC to arrive in Hiroshima port. The vessel will transport finished vehicles produced by Mazda Motor Corporation, and seeks to fulfill customers’ demands for a lower environmental burden in the logistics field.

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) and Air Water Inc. (Air Water Chairman, CEO: Kikuo Toyoda) announced the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly study the trial use of liquefied bio-methane (LBM) (Note 1) derived from cattle manure, in LNG fueled vessels.
