ReCAAP issues incident alert re pirate attack on board tanker

Pirates threatened the crew, stole money and then escaped in a boat - no one was injured The ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre issued an incident alert stating that a tanker en route from Singapore to Vietnam was boarded by seven pirates late on the night of 15 April while 20 miles northeast of Horsburgh Lighthouse.The pirates, armed with guns and knives, threatened the crew, stole money and personal possessions, and escaped in a boat.
