Under its Small Shipyard Grant Program, the US MARAD awarded USD 9.8 million to 18 US small shipyards, aiming to support industrial modernizations that will increase productivity and allow more effective competence in the global marketplace.

During its regular monthly meeting, Florida’s Jacksonville Port Authority Board of Directors unanimously approved the start of the Jacksonville Harbor Deepening project, allocating the first phase of port funding to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for construction.
