Excelerate Energy’s Northeast Gateway Deepwater Terminal (Northeast Gateway), off Boston, achieved a peak send-out flow rate of over 800,000 MMBTU per day of natural gas on February 1, 2019, a first for the terminal. The terminal has a dual submerged turret-loading buoy system which allows for the connection of FSRUs that have been designed to meet the challenging conditions of the North Atlantic.

Japanese shipping company MOL published a video of the world’s largest floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in operation in the Turkish port of Dörtyol, Hatay. The FSRU Challenger began operations in Turkey on February 2018. The floating storage and regasification unit has an LNG storage capacity of 263,000 cubic meters and has re-shipment and gas transfer capabilities.

ExxonMobil has entered into a Heads of Agreement with German energy company Uniper, to take a substantial share of FSRU project Wilhelmshaven. The parties will continue their discussions in the coming months with the goal to enter into binding agreements soon.

Gastrade announced that the Alexandroupolis FSRU delivery timeline is extended by 6 months. Gastrade expects to launch the execution phase tender within the first quarter of 2019. The FSRU will be located in the sea of Thrace, 17.6 km SW of the town of Alexandroupolis.

Uniper SE and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines enter into agreement on Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) project in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.

MOL signed deals for the construction of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), FSRU services, and financing for the Jawa 1 Gas-Fired Project. This is considered Asia’s first gas-to-power project that will use an FSRU. Except MOL, Pertamina, Marubeni and Sojitz will also participate in the project.

Indonesian-based company Jaya Samudra Karunia (JSK) has taken delivery of the 26,000m3 floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) 'Karunia Dewata', the largest FSRU to be built in China and the first to feature Type C cargo tanks. The unit was built at PaxOcean’s Zhoushan Shipyard to Lloyd's Register’s (LR) Rules

Bangladesh is set to continue its LNG imports this week after solving the problems that were caused by its floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) that resulted in the cancellation of the delivery of two cargoes. The FSRU arrived in April ready to operate in Moheshkhali port by Cox’s Bazar.

LNG Croatia received three bids for the Floating Storage & Regasification Unit with the provision of FSRU operation and maintenance services. After reviewing and evaluating the bids, LNG Croatia said that Golar's bid was fully in line with the requirements of the tender documentation.

The video, issued by Oslo-based Höegh LNG, depicts the launch of the company's 10th floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea, on 13 July 2018. The vessel, to be named Höegh Galleon, is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2019.
