Fire breaks out on Goliat FPSO

On Friday 13 of April, at 6.30 am (local time), a fire broke out in the sauna in the living quarters of the Goliat FPSO. The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured. As Eni Norway said, all safety procedures worked appropriately, and the situation is now normalised. Goliat is the world’s most northern oil platform.

Fire breaks out onboard bulk carrier

Fire broke out in a cargo hold of the bulk carrier "Golden Eclipse", which was docked at Civitavecchia, Italy, on March 28. The vessel was offloading coal, and about 2500 tons of coal were found in the hold in which the fire erupted. Firefighters arrived on the scene of the incident, trying to put out the fire, while also making sure that there are no smoldering spots left inside the ship.
