Passenger’s fatality on cruise vessel urges police investigation on Sydney Harbour

A number of cruise boats under the same fleet have been raided by police and marine safety inspectors, in connection with the death of a passenger aboard the vessel Lady Rose the previous weekend. Emergency services were called to a marina in Balmain just after on February 2, after the 39-year-old was found unconscious in the bathroom cubicle of the three-level vessel.

Port of Barcelona experiences record 2018

The Port of Barcelona closed fiscal year 2018 with record results in the main traffic indicators. It also enhanced its role as the main facilitator of export activity, aimed at increasingly diversified and further distant markets. The Catalan infrastructure channelled 67.7 million tonnes of traffic, including all cargo modes, representing a year-on-year increase of 10% and achieving a new record for the Port.

Port Brisbane’s cruise terminal moves forward

Australian Port of Brisbane has announced the principal contractors for its AUD 158 million (USD 114.3 million) Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, paving the way for construction to begin in the coming months.  Cameron Dick, Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning stated that the 158 million reflect the future of the cruising industry in Queensland.
