Paris and Tokyo MoUs have jointly announced a new Concentrated Inspections Campaign (CIC) that will take place from September 1st to November 30rd, 2023 with a focus on Fire Safety implementation on board ships, since high levels of deficiencies were found in recent years in this specific area.

According to Gard, this year’s concentrated inspection campaign by port state control starts on 1 September 2023 and focuses on fire safety, both from a technical and operational aspect.

The member Authorities of the Indian Ocean Memorandum of Understanding (IOMOU) on port State control will launch a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on “STCW”. Inspection campaign will commence from 1 September, 2022 and will continue till 30 November 2022, and will be conducted simultaneously with the Paris MoU, Tokyo MoU and other interested MoUs.

After the Paris and Tokyo MoU announced that they will jointly launch a new Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on STCW compliance from 1st September 2022 to 30th November 2022, the questionnaire has now been published as well.

The member Authorities of the Memorandum of Understanding on PSC in the Black Sea Region (BS MoU) will conduct a concentrated inspection campaign on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW).
