Costa Cruises has signed the 'Genoa Blue Agreement' promoted by the Genoa and Savona Coast Guard Offices. The document mandates vessels to use marine gasoil with a sulphur content not exceeding 0.10% by mass prior to entering the ports of Savona and Genoa, and not only while the ship is moored as required by current legislation.

‎Global dredging contractor Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. successfully loaded the 322 meter-long cruise ship 'Carnival Vista' on its semi-submersible heavy lift vessel BOKA Vanguard and transported it to a shipyard facility in Freeport, Bahamas for dry docking.

Crewmembers of the Carnival Fascination managed to rescue a man that went overboard on May 18. As Carnival informs, the passenger had jumped from Deck 10, with the crew and passengers immediately notifying the bridge team of the incident. Once informed of the incident, the bridge team returned the vessel to the location of the incident. The captain then deployed a rescue boat, with the crew bringing the victim back onboard.
