The Maritime and Port of Singpore (MPA) has issued a port marine notice on the investigation works off Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal which starts on 10 May 2016 and ends on 30 Aug 2016.
Soil investigation works will be carried out 24 hours daily including Sundays and Public Holidays.
Investigation details
- drilling and sampling using ajack-up barge.
- Tug boats will be used to move the jack-up barge. The safety zone is aircular area of 30m radius centred at the borehole.
- A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft about thework.
Caution : When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working barges;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a slow speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);and
e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 12 forassistance, if required
