ECA will come into effect on 1 August 2012

As informed in Shipping Circular No. 19 of 2011, the amendments entered
force on 1 August 2011 and in accordance to Regulation 14.7 of MARPOL
Annex VI, the requirements will take effect 12 months immediately following the designation of the ECA (i.e. 1 August 2012).
