The company showcased the S-Regas(GI) system, to 40 representatives from 19 shipowner companies, including FSRU companies like Golar LNG, Hoegh LNG, GasLog, on 21 September.

The S-Regas(GI) utilizes glycol to regasify LNG into gas and reduces chance of corrosion from traditional method of heating LNG directly with seawater, easing energy savings by 5%. In-house regasification system enables, this way, cost savings, but also improvement in schedule and quality management.

“SHI will continue to lead market by developing the next generation technologies in the whole LNG value chain," a company's spokesman said.
