The Sea Cargo Charter (SCC) welcomed Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) as its newest signatory, further expanding the initiative’s reach within the global aluminium sector.
Alba exports over 1.62 million metric tonnes of aluminium products annually to more than 270 customers across the globe. As announced, by joining the SCC, the company aligns with other leading aluminium producers, such as Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) and South32, underscoring the momentum among industry players towards responsible and sustainable shipping practices.
Furthermore, Alba’s participation enhances the SCC’s geographical representation, marking it as the second signatory from the Middle East and the first from Bahrain.
With the inclusion of Alba, the Sea Cargo Charter continues to expand its influence and sectoral reach, reinforcing our shared commitment to responsible maritime practices
