In a strategic step and an effort to extend the benefits of its psychometric assessment provisions to the dry cargo sector, Safebridge, the company behind the SafeMetrix platform joins INTERCARGO – The International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners.
INTERCARGO was established in 1980 with an objective of giving a voice to shipowners, managers and operators of dry cargo vessels. The goal of the Association, its partner shipping associations and its members is to collectively change the bulk carrier industry for the better. INTERCARGO aims to create strategies that enhance the interests of its Members for the benefit of the dry cargo shipping as a whole while promoting safety, efficiency and the protection of the environment.

The SafeMetrix platform allows for rank-specific psychometric assessments of seafarers’ soft and cognitive skills. As a result, the crew operators are provided with otherwise hard to obtain data that can be applied to significantly improve crew selection, retention, promotion and training decisions.
