Port of Zeebrugge is determined to help pave the way for LNG as a marine fuel solution
For the past 25 years, the Flemish port of Zeebrugge has made joint efforts with Fluxys Belgium and the local and Flemish governments, to take the lead position in gas distribution for the Northwestern European market. The energy business is undergoing massive changes due to ecological and financial concerns. A breakthrough in LNG fuelling is expected, especially now the shipping industry is facing stricter regulations about fuel emissions in 2015.
