Hassan Rouhani, the President of Iran, issued an order to inaugurate up to 20 port projects. The Shahid Rajaee port development consists of 12 gantry cranes being installed which adds to the capabilities of the province of Hormozgan and the country.
President Rouhani commented
With the launch of 12 new gantry cranes, the capacity of Shahid Rajaee port will increase to 5.8 million TEUs.
He continued stating that in 2018 they visited the port and the equipping of the port’s container terminals.

Now, the changes are coming, with the new cranes being installed.
With the launch of 12 new gantry cranes, the capacity of Shahid Rajaee port is expected to increase to 5.8 million TEUs.
The President also referred to five new projects that will begin soon and will be completed in the coming year.
Generally, Iran’s Shahid Beheshti Port in Chabahar, which was taken over by Indian Ports Global Limited, registered high volumes in container loading and unloading. The Indian Chabahar port reached an increase in container and petroleum products unloading and loading by 61% and 81% respectively.
