The Port of Rotterdam Authority has redeveloped Maasvlakte’s bird valley (The Vogelvallei), a nature reserve for birds, and enlarged it to 21 hectares.
The new nature conservation area is in keeping with the Port of Rotterdam Authority’s policy to become the most sustainable port of its kind and to encourage people living in the area to come to the port for recreational and sporting purposes.
