The Port of Cabinda in Angola handled 17.552 empty and full containers during 2018. This is an increase of 5.880 containers, equal to 50.3% as stated by the port’s Chairman.
Samuel Sambo, Chairman of the Port of Cabinda, announced the port’s record during a ceremony to celebrate the end of the year and future goals.

Concerning the port’s shipping, 256 thousand and 101 tons were transferred. There were also 388 long-haul, cabotage and oil tankers, which allowed a level of execution of more than 86% compared to the same period during 2017.
In addition, in 2017 the company handled 254.760 tons and 11.672 containers. And a register of ships that docked in the Port of Cabinda, during the same period was 125 oil tankers and 190 ships of medium size and national cabotage.
Concluding, Samuel Sambo noted that 2019’s goal is to handle 366.087 tons of diverse cargo and 18,516.3 Teus (containers) and the docking of 427 ships on the quay bridge.
