The Office of Naval Intelligence has issued its Piracy Analysis and Warning Weekly (PAWW) Report for 14-20 January 2016.
According to the report:
- Pirate and maritime crime activity in East African waters is at a low level. There were no reported suspicious events during this one-week period.
- Pirate and maritime crime activity in West African waters is at a medium level. There was one attack and one boarding reported during this one week period; and late reporting about another attack from a previous week.
- Pirate and maritime crime activity in Southeast Asia waters is at a medium level. There was one reported ramming and one boarding during this one week period; and late reporting two boardings from pa previous week.
