An oil tanker that damaged in a bombing for which Iran was blamed, returned to its operations, with its first destination being Iran. The ship was attacked off UAE during May, with sources reporting that it is now full and transports fuel to Iran.
Namely, as Bloomberg reports, ‘Andrea Victory’ is sailing in the northern Persian Gulf, indicating Iran’s Bandar Imam Khomeini as its destination. The Andrea Victory was repaired in Dubai’s Port Rashid, and has loaded fuel during a ship-to-ship transfer near Fujairah earlier in July.
According to Dustin Eno, a crisis response manager at Navigate PR, the ship is now operating normally.

Tanker bombings in 2019 have increased tensions in the Gulf, with the US and Saudi Arabia blaming Iran for targeting the ships and risking oil flows. Iran however, denies involvement in the incidents.
Andrea Victory was among the four vessels that were damaged by explosions off UAE in May. In addition, another two tankers were attacked near Iranian territorial waters in June, increasing tensions between the US and Iran.
It should be noted that US sanctions do not allow trade in Iranian oil and refined products.
