Container shipping giants Orient Overseas Container Line Limited (OOCL), CMA CGM, COSCO SHIPPING, and Evergreen have officially extended the OCEAN Alliance collaboration until March 31, 2032.
According to the container shipping companies, the Alliance’s additional five-year extension to 2032 (up from the previous extension until 2027 that took place in 2022), underscores their commitment to providing high-quality and reliable services to meet the demands of the growing global trade market.
As informed, by assuring at least five more years of collaboration, the OCEAN Alliance aims to contribute to a globally stable supply chain while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.

The partners also expressed confidence in their ability to provide continuous high-quality transportation, positioning themselves as a sustainable and responsible alliance in the shipping industry.
To remind, another two container shipping giants, Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk, have recently signed an agreement for a new long-term operational collaboration called ”Gemini Cooperation”, which will start in February 2025. The new cooperation between Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk will comprise a fleet pool of around 290 vessels with a combined capacity of 3.4 million containers (TEU); Maersk will deploy 60% and Hapag-Lloyd 40%.
