Britanny Ferries announced that from the end of April 2018, it will launch a new route that will connect Cork, Ireland to Santander in Northern Spain. For the new route, Britanny Ferries will charter a new ship, the Connemara.
The new route connecting Ireland and Spain is part of the company’s celebration of 40 years.
This will be the first time that there will be a regular ferry service between the two countries. The new service will make two return crossings each week from Cork to Santander. For this route the company will charter a ship named Connemara.
“Sailings on the route will start at the end of April 2018. As well as its sailings to Spain, Connemara will also run a return sailing from Cork to Roscoff, adding extra capacity to this already popular route,” Britanny Ferries said.
