Neda Maritime has become the latest company to join the trend of installing the Starlink system on its ships to improve connectivity onboard.
As explained by Neda Maritime Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency internet and complements the company’s existing VSAT network. According to the company,currently, 75% of the fleet has been equipped with Starlink, and the feedback from seafarers has been overwhelmingly positive.
Developed by SpaceX, Starlink, is a satellite internet constellation using a low Earth orbit to provide high-speed internet access to remote and underserved areas globally.
Enhancing crew welfare is a top priority for the company, exploring new technologies to improve life at sea. Communication with loved ones becomes easier and streaming services are accessible online.
