The Ro-Ro cargo ship Primula Seaways and the container ship MSC Madrid collided on March 3 in Vissingen, as both ships were heading in the same direction; MSC Madrid to Antwerp and Primula Seaways to Ghent.
Primula Seaways, operating between Sweden and Ghent, sustained considerable damage, but managed to continue its journey to Ghent. The MSC Madrid was anchored to Vlissingen for a while, but then sailed to Antwerp.
The Netherlands authority is currently conducting an investigation about the accident.

The Primula Seaways was involved in another collision as well in the past. Namely, on December 3, 2015, Primula Seaways collided with the ship “City of Rotterdam” on the River Humber in England.
The damage was considerable as well, and the pilot and captain of “City of Rotterdam” was sentenced in prison for the accident, according to sources.
