Maritime Port Authority of Singapore issued a marine circular, informing of the transportation of sand material in the vicinity of Very Large Crude Carrier Anchorage (AVLCC).
According to the Port Circular No. 098 of 2020, MPA reminds to mariners operating in the vicinity of Very Large Crude Carrier Anchorage (AVLCC) that the working period has been extended with chartlet, while list of craft has been updated.
Specifically, the extension will take effect from 22 Dec 2020 until 25 Jun 2021.
As MPA explained, Tuas View Extension, within the working area bounded by the following coordinates:
To remind, the work involves transporting and dumping of sand material by self-discharge sand carrier and trailer suction hopper dredgers to the working area.
In light of the situation, a safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other vessels of the work.

Overall, MPA reminds mariners, when in the vicinity of the working area to:
- Keep well clear of the working area
- Maintain a proper lookout
- Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution
- Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control)
- Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
