The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Shanghai Maritime University (SMU) to support talent and academic relations between Singapore and China.
Specifically, the MoU was signed on December 11 between Chief Executive of MPA, Ley Hoon QUAH and President of SMU, Lu Jing, at a virtual ceremony, on the sidelines of the 2nd Singapore-Shanghai Comprehensive Cooperation Council.
The cooperation between China and Singapore aims to provide expertise in the maritime, shipping and transport sectors, to strengthen connectivity, share expertise and facilitate knowledge exchange.
Following this partnership, recently, ABS along with Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), POSH, 3D Metalforge and ShipParts.com joined their forces in order to develop 3D printed parts.
