Mammoet and Port of Coeymans Marine Terminal signed an agreement to boost New York State’s growing commitment to offshore wind development, enabling the Mammoet’s have access to the marine terminal on the Hudson River, located 100 miles north of New York City.
It is worth mentioning that the heavy lifting company Mammoet and the owned by Carver companies Port of Coeyman, have already collaborated in the past to attain several local projects. For instance, the Willis Avenue Bridge development and the roll-off operation of a fully assembled HRSG module.
Signing this agreement, Mammoet will provide storage, load in and load out options, local barge supply and aid with offshore wind operations. To offer those heavy lift services, Mammoet has settled inside the port, the CC 2800, a 660 ton capacity crawler crane.
The port is happy to have a reputable company such as Mammoet as a tenant, increasing the Port of Coyeyman’s credibility to be a premier project family.

For the time being, the State of New York continues increasing offshore wind projects in the area, while it is investing in Port of Coeyman’s facilities and infrastructure upgrades. To accomplish the above mentioned projects, the offshore wind components will be manufactured and transported through the Hudson Rive region.
Throughout this partnership, it is expected an expansion also to further locations in the future. For the records, Mammoet is also involved in similar projects, with the Port of Freeport, Texas and Theodore Industrial Port near Mobile, Alabama. Concluding, Carver companies offer same port facilities in Charleston, SC, Brayton Point, MA and Port Manatee, FL.
