To support the development of IT solutions for shipping
Maersk Line and US technology company Diginonymous have announced that they have established a strategic working relationship to support the development of IT solutions for shipping.
Diginonymous specialises in creating encrypted, software based communications and security solutions. Its flagship product is DigiGone, a video collaboration tool.
“(Maersk Line) has chosen to partner with Diginonymous to speed up the process of bringing cost effective and bandwidth efficient IT and communications applications to market,” said Chris Fertig, general manager, maritime technical services at Maersk Line.
“In Diginonymous, we’ve found a partner that shares our values and entrepreneurial spirit, and that has the engineering capabilities and global distribution network to bring promising new applications to the maritime market.”
Maersk Line is currently working with Diginonymous to develop, deploy and market applications for telemedicine, crew calling, CCTV and piracy interdiction.
Mike Dunleavy, founder and president of Diginonymous, also commented, “This partnership gives Diginonymous the ability to leverage (Maersk Line’s) world class maritime expertise along with their brand recognition and positive reputation in the core marketplaces we are targeting.”
