The 3,900-dwt Mutia Ladjoni that lost contact on November 11, was found drifting between Dobo and Timika in the eastern part of Indonesia. All crew on board have been evacuated.
On November 11 contact was lost with the Mutia Ladjoni, after it went adrift off the Aru Islands. Search of the ship immediately started and continued into the week.
According to information, the ship left from Timika in Papua province on 9 November, heading for Bontang port in East Kalimantan.
The ship’s owner told the SAR office that they lost contact with the vessel on November 11 while it was in the Aru (Arafura) Sea.
They tried to make contact again by radio on November 12 and then reported the vessel as missing when they were unable to establish communications.
