Japanese “K”Line Group informed that it has begun implementation of “DRIVE GREEN NETWORK” (DGN), its recently established environmental management system.
DGN is a system targeting to strengthen environmental management, set environmental policies and targets that encourage efforts being conducted by each Group Company with internal audits, and to continuously improve environmental conservation activities through the PDCA cycle, while ensuring environmental compliance throughout the entire“K”Line Group.
The Phase 1 of the program includes annual review at Group Environmental Conference in October and acquisition of SOC (Statement of Conformity) from third party certification body in November 2017.
The beginning of Phase 2 is planned for April 2018 and includes a full-scale operation by all targeted companies in Japan. In addition, some overseas group companies are also planning to implement them.
This name embodies the wishes of the company’s environmental flagship “DRIVE GREEN HIGHWAY” completed in 2016.
