Europe’s ports are vital gateways, linking its transport corridors to the rest of the world. EU welcomed the ports regulation for enhancing efficiency of port operations and attracting new investments.
EU Transport says that better seaports can lead to a stronger economy. The implementation of new rules will unleash the economic potential of 329 main ports in Europe, while hepling to sustain three milion jobs.

Securing better market access and higher quality of service will bring more investments and jobs as well. Additionally, raising the transparency for the use of bublic funds and enhancing goverance can result to a better and more efficiennt use of public money and fair competition.
