Following some technical issues in IMO’s public website, the organization informed that the interruption of service was caused by a cyber attack against their IT systems.
In fact, on 30th September, IMO posted on Twitter that “its official website is down and its IT team is working on resolving the situation”.
In light of the above, IMO resulted that the system went down due to a cyber attack.
At the moment the organization is collaborating with security experts in order to restore systems as soon as possible.
Overall, speaking of cyber threats, shipping giant CMA CGM who was recently a subject of a cyber attack, managed to recover, as all of its communications are now secured.
