Spanish LNG Group, HAM Group, opened its first LNG service station in Murcia, a well-known road, also known as Mediterranean motorway, which connects the Mediterranean coast from Algeciras to Barcelona, passing through strategic points of road transport such as Malaga, Alicante, Castellón, and Tarragona.
The newly-launched gas station is a modern mobile refueling station, with a 59m3 tank, which allows the supply of liquefied natural gas to heavy vehicles. Customers are able to access the station on a 24-hour basis, all year, using any card credit or debit, or using the HAM card for professionals, in the case of companies and freelancers.
Moreover, its location on the N-344, national road that connects Almeria with Valencia, by Jumilla and Yecla, is just 5 minutes from the A-7, also known as the Mediterranean motorway.
The LNG company has a variety of mobile services in different areas and enables access to compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas, in locations where customers do not have easy access to an alternative, clean, sustainable and environmentally friendly fuel, thanks to a 95% reduction in the emission of fine particles, 35% in the emission of nitrogen oxides and 15% the of CO2.
LNG allows our customers to save between 30-50%, thanks to the difference in prices between liquefied natural gas compared to other more polluting fuels
… stated the company.
In general, LNG Bunkering procedure involves two main players. The provider of fuel, who may be barge, track or shore installation, and the LNG powered ship itself. Following IMO’s requirements the bunker station has to be under specific construction requirements and air / ventilation condition.
