Greenabl Shippers Association, logistics industry’s first not-for-profit cooperative procurement group committed to decarbonization, was launched on February 01.
The association will be managed by Bluspark, with its president & CEO, Ken O’Brien, noting that:
Decarbonizing the transportation industry is a complex and challenging task. However, we think that with the right combination of technologies, policies and operational changes, it is possible to reduce the industry’s carbon output
Like many shippers associations, a neutral cooperative procurement approach is at the core of the Greenabl solution.
However, Greenabl has also combined this coalition strategy with a technology platform to enable both shippers and carriers to measure, mitigate and offset their GHG emissions.
Greenabl is the first of its kind and I’m optimistic that it will change the transportation industry for good
added George Goldman, former president at ZIM American Integrated Shipping Services and executive chairman of Greenabl.
