The Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) informed that it shared experience in maritime registration and licensing services with the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport in Abu Dhabi (DMAT), during their recently held meeting, with the aim to reinforce UAE’s position as one of the most important maritime and logistics capitals in the world.
The meeting held at the DMCA’s headquarters underscored the significance of constant collaboration between federal and local government authorities to enhance the country’s maritime transport sector, a pivotal player in the UAE’s economic growth and diversification.
To this end, both sides discussed the country’s maritime registration and licensing mechanisms, as well as compared the proposed fees for maritime services in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Concluding, the two sides also stressed their commitment to jointly organize relevant workshops and exchange expertise, experiences, and information for the benefit of the maritime sector.
