The Danish government presented one of its main targets that will form a new energy agreement. Namely, Denmark wants to build a 800MW offshore wind farm. The government hopes that the wind farm will increase offshore wind power by one third.
Namely, a wind turbine park will be built during 2024-27, which can supply electricity to 800,000 households, corresponding to the power consumption in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg, Esbjerg, Randers and Kolding together. The wind park will also open new job positions. Currently, there are 17 maritime operations on a wind turbine from cradle to grave.

Minister for Energy, Climate and Supply, Lars Chr. Lilleholt, said:
As part of our new energy development, the government will build one of the world’s largest 800MW offshore wind farms. The park will provide Denmark’s seven largest cities with green power year-round, significantly lower CO 2 emissions and create thousands of Danish jobs.
The wind farm will also contribute to “Blue Denmark”, for this reason Jakob Ullegård mentioned that :
Denmark is a pioneer country in the field of marine wind. This also applies to sea when the wind turbines are to be installed or maintained. Therefore, it is good news for Blue Denmark that the government has launched a clear ambition that Denmark will continue to be at the forefront of marine winds.
The government will present its proposal this week.
