More than 170 people have died at sea trying to reach Europe
According to the UN refugee agency, more than 100,000 migrants have made dangerous boat journey across the Mediterranean in 2014. This is just one of the many sea crossings in the world.
UNHCR estimates that more than 170 people have died at sea trying to reach Europe so far this year, including those who lost their lives off Greece, Libya and Italy and in international waters.
UNHCR issued an infographic that shows four of the worlds deadliest sea crossing of 2014.
