In the evening of March 1, 2025, the container ship One Columba collided with the berthed Clifford Maersk at Hong Kong’s Kwai Tsing Terminal.
The 364-meter-long One Columba struck the stationary 347-meter Clifford Maersk while maneuvering toward its berth. Three containers fell into the water but were later retrieved. Preliminary reports suggest a possible power failure on One Columba before the incident.
Authorities are investigating the cause, though no injuries or pollution have occurred.
