Cargo ship Xingu 333 collided with piers basement of Panyu Beidou Bridge, Guangzhou on July 13. No injuries were reported.
According to local media, after receiving the report, the Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration deployed three ships to the scene of the accident for emergency response. It also immediately notified the traffic police department and the bridge owner unit.
Currently, the Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration has issued a navigation notice, imposing temporary traffic control measures on the waters near the Beidou Bridge from the Shawan Bridge to the mouth of the Zini River in the Shawan Channel. This aims to maintain traffic order and vigilance at the scene to prevent passing ships from entering the closed waters.
The traffic police department has also implemented traffic control on the bridge deck and suspended traffic, while an investigation is underway.
