CARB Guidelines
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has developed Recommended Emissions Testing Guidelines for Ocean-going Vessels (Guidelines) to provide testing guidance in support of control equipment manufacturers, port programmes and regulatory requirements.
Apparently, CARB considered these guidelines necessary as they currently “do not have a formal regulatory path for verification of control strategies for ocean-going vessels (OGV)”.
