Bureau Veritas published its revenue results for the first quarter of 2022, noting that it provides only essential safety and environmental services in Russia, after Ukraine invasion.
More specifically, in Russia BV has reduced its activities to essential services in quality, health & safety, environmental protection and social responsibility to domestic and international companies.

As of this date, BV has downsized its business in Russia in the sectors where the company was previously operating such as, Marine, Aeronautics and Commodities.
Since the beginning of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Bureau Veritas has been regularly assessing and monitoring its position in Russia. The Group will keep downsizing its operations and presence as the situation evolves
In a similar development, International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) voted to expel the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping from their ranks, while ABS decided to withdraw all Class services involving Russian vessels, assets and companies.
In addition, Wärtsilä has also suspended all deliveries and sales to Russia following the invasion of Ukraine.
