Aspida Maritime Security, an Associate PMSC Member approved by BIMCO, has announced it has been permanently licensed to supply armed guard protection on board French flagged vessels.
Aspida also claims to be the first non-french PMSC to get a non-temporary accreditation by CNAPS (the National Council of Private Securities Activities). The first professional qualification cards have already been received allowing Aspida to offer its services to French shipowners and clients.
All Aspida operators are highly experienced ex Special Forces members with military background and several NATO operations. The company holds four ISO accreditations: ISO28007 (Maritime Security), ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Health & Safety)
Aspida is also a founding member of the International Code of Conduct Association for Private Security Companies (ICOCA) and has been accepted in the Security Association for the Maritime Industry (SAMI).
