AMSA video shows the recent Torres Strait Marine Pathways Project Master (TSMPP) up to 24 metre course held at the Australian Maritime College in Launceston.
The TSMPP is designed to develop the skills and capabilities of Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal people to operate commercial vessels and creating maritime career pathways in related industries such as near coastal trading, commercial fishing, tourism and the offshore maritime shipping industry.
The program is a partnership project between the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ), Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA), Queensland Police Service and the National Maritime Safety Authority of Papua New Guinea.
