Turkish shipyard ‘Cemre’ informed that it launched Libas, the world’s first battery & LNG driven purse seiner/trawler. The launching of the vessel took place on the 7th of February. After the completion, Cemre is planning to deliver the vessel in Q2, 2020.
NB64 Libas has a capacity of a 350 cubic meter LNG tank and eco-friendly battery system.

In addition to LNG technology, the vessel’s battery system is to be used for peak shaving operation, while it also has a 2.830 cubic meter RSW tank capacity for storing fishes.
