A 43-year-old employee died of suffocation while he was spraying pesticides in storerooms of a commercial vessel that was headed toward Vietnam.
The victim was appointed by a private contractor for spraying pesticides on commercial carriers carrying food items.
After the incident, the police said that the two men were spraying pesticide inside rooms loaded with corn, which was being transported to Vietnam.
The two men were locked inside, and the other crew discovered them in an unconscious state.
After that they were immediately moved to a private hospital. There, one of the workers was declared to have been brought dead.
The other worker, however, regained sense after going through treatment at a hospital.
