VPS announced the launch of a new quick screening service for bunker delivery in Singapore. The new service is based on a ‘Pass/ Fail’ method to provide information about the performance of the Mass Flow Meter in a timely manner.
Specifically, VPS service will be able to provide an evaluation of the MFM and detailed information regarding mass flow, air index, temperature, density, drive gain, and damping, among others, as well as Field Documents checks on calibration certificate, and zero verification report.
The company expects this new service to facilitate surveyors during bunker deliveries by giving a picture of the performance of the Mass Flow Meter based on the meter profile and the field documents as obtained by the VPS Surveyor and assessed by the in-house VPS Flow Technologist.
Following the Pass/Fail method, if the evaluation shows ‘fail’, more test will be carried out, VPS explains.
