The new cruise venture Virgin Voyages announced plans to build a new cruise terminal at PortMiami. On the occasion, Virgin Voyages also announced that its first ship, the Scarlet Lady, will continue to sail to the Caribbean from Miami throughout 2021. The company’s second ship will sail from Miami during the fall/winter cruise season of 2021/22.
The Virgin Voyages Terminal will be placed on the northwest side of PortMiami. The operation of the project will start next year and will be ready in the beginning of the cruise season on November 2021.
Moreover, not only will the country gain economic advantages from this project, but also the terminal is expected to be a major homeport for Virgin Voyages as the company keeps on developing.

Virgin Voyages aspires to be the leader on creating an important change at sea. This will be achieved by ensuring a healthy future for the ocean and by leading a good example on the communities and ports it visits.
As a part of Virgin Voyages’ sustainability efforts, the new Virgin Voyages PortMiami Terminal is targeting a LEED Gold Certification from the US Green Building Council.
