Last week, on May 8th, a large number of fuel oil was noticed from one of the vessels in waters and on land surface near the village of Lyubimovka which is the water area of Russian- occupied Sevastopol. Ministry of foreign Affairs said that Ukraine, as a coastal state has sovereign rights in sea areas temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea has the right to demand from other countries for compliance with their obligations» regarding the prevention and elimination of consequences of pollution in the marine areas of Ukraine.
Ukraine also calls for an immediate to provide all the information about the oil spill in the Black sea near Sevastopol and on the measures taken to prevent further harm to the environment.
