One died
Bulk carrier Ken Goh requested medical evacuation of 2 crew members in position 53 11N 169 06E, 380 nm NE of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Pacific ocean, on Oct 21 2011.
Two Filipino crew were seriously injured in a rough weather, while working in the open. MRCC Petropavlovsk advised vessel to head for Petropavlovsk, as S&R service doesn’t have helicopter capable of such a long-range flight. Vessel is sailing to Petropavlovsk now, ETA 22.10.11 0600 LT.
Regretfully, one of injured seamen died. Vessel is en route from Vancouver to China. Bulk carrier Ken Goh IMO 9236066, dwt 31939, built 2001, flag Vanuatu, manager MMS Co Ltd., Japan.
