Following the COVID-19 situation, three more cruise vessels of Holland America Group are about to berth at Cruise Port Rotterdam, in order to repatriate its seafarers.
In fact, Holland America includes the cruise lines Seabourn and Princess.
According to Port of Rotterdam, Sky Princess is expected to arrive with 100 HAL crewmembers onboard, who need to return back home.
At the same time, Nieuw Statendam is scheduled to call the port, carrying around 100 repatriating crew members.
What is more, Seabourn Ovation will berth at Rotterdam, with 150 crewmembers for repatriation.
In light of the situation, Harbour Master René de Vries, noted:
The Port Authority finds it important that crew members can return home. We’re happy to cooperate with their repatriation.
The disembarking crew members are all on their way home. After their ship has docked at Cruise Port Rotterdam, they will be picked up in a predetermined order and transferred to their next transit point or final destination.
These activities will be carried out in consultation with the authorities and in accordance with the stringent hygiene measures currently in place. The three port calls have been approved by all responsible authorities and follow the tightened RIVM regulations.
