The Republic of the Marshall Islands issues Marine Notice The Republic of the Marshall Islands issues Marine Notice regarding Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (SOPEP) Approval for Marshall Islands Ships.The purpose of this notice is to inform vessel owners, operators and managers of the Marshall Islands policy concerning the approval of Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plans. This Notice supersedes Rev. 11/08 and reflects the removal of Super-Yacht Technologies from section 6.0.This instruction applies to the following Marshall Islands vessels:- oil tankers over 150 gross tons (GT), and- every ship, including yachts and fishing vessels, other than an oil tanker over 400 GT.For further information, click here.Source: The Republic of the Marshall Islands
